It’s no secret that I’m kind of queer for the Birch tree.
I love working with the oil and all parts of the tree.
Birch has so many magickal, medicinal and mundane uses. Magickally it is pretty much embodies the properties of spring. It is cleansing but it is also an agent for blessings and new beginnings. Medicinally, among other things, it is great for the skin.
Birch tar much like pine tar is especially good for problem skin.
While in the process of my own spring cleaning I discovered
I still had a bit of Birch tar which inspired me so I whipped
up a small batch of Special Birch Soap.
This incredible glycerin soap is infused with evening primrose oil (great for skin issues),
African Black Soap (also good for skin issues and used for energetic cleansing in the Ifa tradition), Birch tar and generous amount of pure Birch essential oil.
The resulting soap is awesome! It is not quite black and the smell if great.
This is a great bar of soap whether you have problem skin or
just want a good Spring Cleaning soap but don’t delay; I only made a small batch.
When it’s gone it may be gone for while.
